Technical Author (Propulsion)

Technical Author to work on Aerospace or Marine Engine maintenance documentation at our Bristol office.

Responsible for creating or amending Aircraft manuals in accordance with the technical specifications provided by the customer, using customer specific authoring tools.

ESSENTIAL:
Gas turbine engine maintenance experience essential AND / OR
Experience in other mechanical engineering areas or suitable practical experience in an aerospace environment Engines

Ensure that deliverables are produced within the timescales in the project schedule

PREFERRED:
Arbortext Editor/Epic
Experience of working as part of a team
Adobe Framemaker+SGML
Simplified English
ASD S1000D
ATA100/iSpec2200

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will be required to work on Aero Engine documentation

They will be expected to investigate source data (engine diagrams, coding information, tooling instructions, etc.) and will work closely with customer engineers, colleagues in the Lionbridge project teams and in-house Technical Illustrators to:
Write and illustrate draft documentation

Produce final deliverable documentation for review by the customer

There is a requirement to work to designated timescales, approved project procedures, according to project schedules and to maintain the high level of quality required by the customer
